What is NatureID?
NatureID is a nature and pet expert in your pocket. It is a tool based on a striking mix of technology and nature that allows identifying pets and plants by making just a few taps! What is more — the app provides for fast and accurate plant diseases identification and gives recommendations on how to treat them effectively. No more secret seedlings or flowers in your garden! Know all the trees in the nearest park by name! Become an expert in cat and dog breeds!
How do I identify my houseplant?
To identify a plant, open the NatureID app and tap the Camera icon. Take a photo or choose one from Photos. Next, you will see the “Recognition in process” screen, followed by the screen with the suggestion of a plant recognized. Tap “Learn more” to get more information, if the plant was successfully recognized, or go to “Not a plant?” section to choose a different option.
How many types of plants are there?
We have an extensive plant database: it includes more than 10,000 species.
What are the different types of plant diseases?
The NatureID is currently able to recognize 20+ major plant diseases (e.g. powdery mildew, root rot, Phytophthora, downy mildew, black spot and etc.) and pests (e.g. aphids, spider mites, scales, whiteflies, root-knot nematodes and so on).
Can I identify a plant from a photo?
Yes, that’s exactly how the NatureID app works. You can either take a new photo with your camera or use the existing one from your Photos.
How can I tell what kind of cat I have?
To identify a cat, open the NatureID app and tap the Camera icon. You can either take a new photo or choose the existing one from Photos. Next, you will be transferred to the “Recognition in process” screen, and to the screen with the suggestion of a cat breed. Go to the “Learn more” section to read about the breed or go to “Not a cat?” section to choose a different option if the recognition was not successful.
How many types of cats are there?
Currently, we have 108 cat breeds in the app. We can vouch for their next to impeccable recognition. *
How can I find out what breed my dog is from a picture?
To identify a dog breed, go to the NatureID app and tap Camera. Take a new photo or use one from Photos. Next, you will see the “Recognition in process” screen and will be transferred to the screen with the suggestion of a dog breed recognized. If the recognition was successful, tap “Learn more” and read more about your dog. If there was a mistake and the result is irrelevant, go to “Not a plant?” section to choose a different option.
How many types of dogs are there?
There are 487 dog breeds in the app at the moment. However, we are constantly extending our database and adding more dogs that can be recognized. *
